Only in Death

how could something so right turn out so wrong?

the loved they shared was supposed to last for ever

but was instead cut short by pain and anger

until hatred took the place of that forever love

piece by piece they chipped away each others happiness

until there was nothing left

driven by the grooms misery

a shot rang and filled the emptiness were where silence resided

next came a cry that seemed to go on forever

until it was replaced by a second shot

pain no longer controlled the two

in death they were reunited

and it was in death that their love truly lasted forever
